The Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Women’s Association invites visitors to its celebration of Buddha Day (Hanamatsuri), the birth of Sakyamuni Gotama Buddha, at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 10. This year’s guest speaker will be the Rev. Bryan Siebhur, Associate Minister of Hilo Hongwanji.

This year, this celebration will feature a white elephant and garage sale, which is open to the community from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Traditional manju (Japanese-sweet-bean-bun), will also be sold.
